“Teaching music is a conversation, a mutual learning and discovery.”

In the summer of 2018, Ryo was in Rongai, Kenya with his musician colleague to teach music at Vanessa Grant Girls’ School. He taught music history and theory classes, gave private piano and violin lessons, and directed a school choir. He also attended a local music festival, where he explored music and dance from various tribes in Kenya.
